The woodwork in the parlor is a wonderful example of exquisite craftsmanship and carpentry. The wall by the fireplace is entirely paneled, and there is intricate lock-and-key dentil molding that encircles the room and accents the paneling. Bear in mind that this work was all done by hand; before the invention of power tools, so it required a tremendous amount of skill and patience.
